Or maybe you aren't sure what happened to your ability to focus? While mindfulness cannot solve all the political complexities of the university environment or clear the never-ending to-do list, it can reduce some of the friction of the day-to-day chaos and help you wrestle some control over your frazzled brain. We can accomplish this by systematically training the mind, developing the ability to concentration, clarity about what you are thinking and feeling in each moment and ultimately cultivating what is called "equanimity" in mindfulness - i.e. a steadiness under pressure or ability to keep your cool.Timeline: 6-8 sessions. First two sessions will be dedicated to discussing your personal goals and motivation to learn mindfulness and getting acquainted with basic mindfulness practice.
