Join us for the Second CCMNet Annual Meeting at PEARC25!

We are pleased to offer travel rewards to encourage participation in our Second Annual Meeting, which will take place at PEARC25. We will provide travel rewards on a first-come-first-served basis to individuals who have participated in the program and met the criteria below. We will also provide travel rewards to at least three individuals on a first-come first-served basis to anyone that commits to participate in the CCMNet program from now through the end of PEARC26 and an additional three individuals with priority given to individuals from non-R1 and/or minority serving institutions.

What does it mean to participate in CCMNet?

For CCMNet Members who have been participating in the program, preference will be given to individuals who have:

  1. Filled out your skills and interests in your profile
  2. Participated as a mentor or a mentee in a peer-mentoring engagement.
  3. Attended at least 3 monthly CCMNet all-hands meetings.
  4. Contributed at least one entry into the ConnectCI Knowledge Base, which is being leveraged for the CCMNet Program. This entry can be an article, video, tutorial submitted via the knowledge base resources page; or information in question-answer format using Ask.CI on any topic relevant to the Cyberinfrastructure ecosystem. It can be domain-specific or procedural. It does not need to be about mentoring, although mentoring entries are also welcome.
  5. You must also commit to attend the CCMNet Annual Meeting at PEARC25, which will be held as part of the CCMNet Workshop session on July 21, 2025.

For New Participants: To qualify for this travel reward, you commit to participate in the CCMNet Program by doing the following between now and the end of July, 2026.

  1. Attend the CCMNet Annual Meeting at PEARC25, which will be held as part of the CCMNet Workshop session on July 21, 2025.
  2. Participate as a mentor or a mentee in a peer-mentoring engagement for at least six months.
  3. Attend at least 4 monthly CCMNet all-hands meetings.
  4. Contribute at least one entry into the ConnectCI Knowledge Base, which is being leveraged for the CCMNet Program. This entry can be an article, video, tutorial or information in question-answer format on any topic relevant to the Cyberinfrastructure ecosystem. It can be domain-specific or procedural. It does not need to be about mentoring, although mentoring entries are also welcome.

For new members, there are three quick steps to apply for the travel reward:

  1. If you have not already done so, please join the CCMNet by clicking on Join in the top right corner of this site (CCMNet.org).
  2. Upon joining, please specify your interests and skills by clicking on these two buttons under your profile pulldown in the top right corner of the site.  This is required to receive a travel reward.
  3. Fill out this form. Please read the fine print below to understand the details of what can and cannot be submitted for reimbursement under the reward, and other important details.

What's covered?

Flight, hotel costs at the block rate, airfare, land travel (Uber, Lift, Taxi, Rail), PEARC25 registration.  

Important Details 

  1. Please register for PEARC25 before May 30, 2025 to keep registration costs down.
  2. The "Additional items" on the PEARC25 registration site are not covered by this travel reward.
  3. Meals: Reimbursement amounts are subject to State of South Dakota rates and requirements.  
  4. If you drive your own car, your reimbursement rate will be subject to State of South Dakota reimbursement rates and requirements.
  5. If you are flying, please restrict your flight to the economy/main cabin areas and book at least three weeks in advance (by July 1, 2025).
  6. You will be reimbursed after the conference.
  7. We can only cover travel reimbursement if you are a resident within the 50 United States for this reward.
  8. The travel reward recipient must have the legal right to work in the United States and be currently working in the United States to receive travel and registration reimbursement.
  9. Approval from your supervisor is required to participate.
  10. Personal travel will not be reimbursed. 
  11. Proof of PEARC25 conference registration must be provided, even if it is complimentary.
